One of the really big downsides to social media whether it’s Instagram or Facebook or Twitter — is the instantaneous posting /sharing of the very first initial thought you have in your head. The very act of doing this requires by definition that you do NOT engage in any critical thinking of any kind.
I have recently come across posts/ tweets/ comments like this :
…”Whats with all these train derailments? What about the train derailment in Ohio last week where they had to evacuate the town of East Palestine on the border of PA and Ohio.? Then THEY (who is “they” ? oh you mean Multi- billion the RR company that got the RR regulations on Train safety changed) had to slowly release the fumes to stop it from exploding. In any case, now all the fish in the streams are dead? Is it nuclear waste? . Do you think it has something to do with the balloon shot down in the ocean??? …”
Um WHAT!?
and the scary thing is that people like this who ahem “THINK” like this… are sllowed to vote… own firearms …and fornicate.
BTW the since the year 2000 the USA average 1600 train derailments a year.
In the year 2023… I can within the space of 25 minutes et a fairly detailed summary of every major significant news event going on in the USA. In the space of 60 or say 75 minutes I can get a pretty accurate run down of every single major story going on across the globe.
Yet 25 years ago… 40 years ago… 75 years ago… getting such information to you would require YOU to make EXTRA effort of the rather involved task of gathering/ reading up SEVERAL national newspapers. Even then many events would take days to get reported.
But here in the 21st century… seeing and reporting multiple events, often bad events/news on a single day or within a few days time… does NOT mean or prove or indicate that there is anything nefarious going on.
Trust me in this one.

That does not mean you have uncovered the ultimate tuth.
