What you are reading here is Informed speculation. This is not a weather forecast.
I am not forecasting a East Coast winter storm on December 27th whether it’s for the Middle Atlantic Coast or the southeast US Coast. That being said, this kind of speculation — -where you look at possibilities and see what COULD happen if a few things change — is what good meteorologists SHOULD be doing. In this way, IF something changes in a dramatic and sudden way, you as the forecaster, are not caught flat-footed or unprepared. You have anticipated this possible outcome so you can react to it a lot sooner — it is not a surprise if it were to change suddenly.
So again, none of this is a forecast for per se …just informed speculation. If having this kind information out there… where you learn about something just for the sake of learning bothers you… then I got some bad news for you.
The rest of the 21st century is really going to suck T-TREX balls for you.
Just sayin’
